Sutter (l.) got a Prudential Center preview from Devils Chairman and Managing Partner Jeff Vanderbeek.
newjerseydevils.com – Opening night in Newark is still 75 days away, but Devils Head Coach Brent Sutter couldn't wait to see the progress being made at the Devils' new home.
Sutter and his family recently had the chance to tour Prudential Center, as construction at the new arena hits a fever pitch. New Jersey will play its first-ever game there on Sat., Oct. 27, two days after Bon Jovi's inaugural performance on Oct. 25.
Joined by Devils Chairman/Managing Partner Jeff Vanderbeek, CEO/President/General Manager Lou Lamoriello, and Assistant Coach John MacLean, Sutter was able to take a sneak peek at some of the arena's 76 luxury suites, as well as sample some of the views from the Restaurant, which will allow patrons to enjoy a fine dining experience without missing a minute of Devils game action.
The month of August is shaping up to be a busy one for Sutter, who will be behind the bench for Team Canada's juniors when the Canada/Russia Super Series begins on Mon., Aug. 27 in Ufa, Russia.
After four games in Russia, the eight-game series will shift to Canada, where the final game is slated for Sept. 9 in Vancouver.
