newjerseydevils.com – The man behind the mic in the Devils' television booth is in the running for another Emmy.
Mike Emrick has been nominated in the category of On-Camera Talent: Sports Play-by-Play. The announcement was made by the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). MSG Media earned 52 New York Emmy Award nominations for its two television networks, MSG and FSN New York (FSNY).
"Doc" is in his 15th season (18th overall) in his second stint as the television voice of the Devils, and 20th year overall with MSG Networks. He already has five Emmys to his credit, having previously received the New York region award in 1996, 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2006.
MSG received more nominations than any other local network, with a total of 50. The awards recognize television shows that were produced for telecast in New York state and northern New Jersey, and aired between Sept. 1, 2006 and Aug. 31, 2007.
