2008 High School Players of the Year named
newjerseydevils.com – The Devils continue to honor the state’s top high school student-athletes with the selection of the Players of the Year.  Senior forward Charles Nerbak of Delbarton School was named the boys’ Player of the Year, while senior defenseman Megan Winters of Morristown-Beard is the girls’ Player of the Year.

The Devils are honoring Nerbak for the third time, having previously been named to the Non-Public All-Tournament Team in 2007 and 2008.  Nerbak becomes the second Delbarton School student to be honored in the 16-year history of the award, joining Ned Crotty (2004-05).

Mantell is the second Morristown-Beard student to be honored in the four-year history of the award, joining Brittany Doyle (2005-06).

Award winners and their guests receive tickets to a Devils' game, a plaque presented by a Devils' player, and dinner, compliments of the Devils.  This marks the 16th season that the Devils have honored high school student-athletes.
