Devils add D Brandon Burlon in second round
Two-way blueliner has makings of power-play quarterback

Burlon, 18, helped lead the St. Michael's Buzzers Jr. A team to records for most wins (43), points (88) and fewest losses (4), winning the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League regular-season title in 2007-08.
The 6-0, 190-lb. rearguard collected four goals and 19 assists for 23 points in 45 games with the Buzzers last season, and will attend the University of Michigan in the fall of 2008.
The Toronto native was ranked 41st among North American prospects by Central Scouting. He has averaged six goals and 18 assists in two campaigns with St. Michael's.
"Brandon is a highly mobile defenseman with deceptive speed," said St. Michael's head coach and general manager Richard Ricci. "His strengths include a pro shot and the ability to get it off quickly, especially one-timers.
"He has good vision on the ice and plays a controlled and composed game. Areas of improvement and growth include his physical play and decision-making of when to join the rush. He battles hard, is a fierce competitor and is extremely good at running a power-play."
