March 11, 1986: Glenn Resch traded from New Jersey to Philadelphia for Philadelphia's 3rd-round pick in the 1986 Entry Draft.
"Chico" Resch has served since 1996 as the color analyst on Devils' MSG Plus television broadcasts.
March 11, 1986: Phil Russell traded from New Jersey to Buffalo for Buffalo's 12th-round pick in the 1986 Entry Draft.
March 8, 1988: Steve Tsujuira traded from New Jersey to Boston for Boston's 10th-round pick in the 1988 Entry Draft (Alexander Semak).
March 7, 1989: Claude Vilgrain traded from Vancouver to New Jersey for Tim Lenardon.
March 6, 1990: Jim Korn traded from New Jersey to Calgary for Calgary's 5th-round pick in the 1990 Entry Draft.
March 6, 1990: Peter Stastny traded from Quebec to New Jersey for Craig Wolanin and future considerations.
Stastny, who spent parts of four seasons in New Jersey, recorded 64 goals and 109 assists in 217 games.
March 6, 1990: Jeff Sharples traded from Edmonton to New Jersey for Reijo Ruotsalainen.
March 21, 1994: Roy Mitchell and Reid Simpson traded from Dallas to New Jersey for future considerations.
March 14, 2000: New Jersey traded C Brendan Morrison and C Denis Pederson to Vancouver for RW Alexander Mogilny.
Mogilny was a Devil for parts of three seasons, including New Jersey's run to the 2000 Stanley Cup title. He recorded a 43-goal campaign in 2000-01, then posted two game-winners in the 2001 postseason, when New Jersey made its second straight appearance, third overall, in the Stanley Cup Finals.
March 19, 2002: Dallas traded RW Jamie Langenbrunner and C Joe Nieuwendyk to New Jersey for C Jason Arnott, RW Randy McKay and New Jersey’s 1st-round pick in the 2002 Entry Draft.
Langenbrunner and Nieuwendyk were components of the Devils squad that won its third Stanley Cup title in 2003.
Langenbrunner, currently the team's captain, scored four game-winning goals in each of the first two rounds of the 2003 playoffs, including an overtime tally in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Tampa Bay.
Nieuwendyk registered 17 goals and 28 assists in the 2002-03 regular season, and added three goals and six assists in 17 postseason games that season.
March 19, 2002: Pittsburgh traded RW Stephane Richer to New Jersey for a conditional pick in the 2003 Entry Draft.
March 10, 2003: The Devils acquired RW Grant Marshall from Columbus for a conditional choice in 2004. New Jersey also acquired D Richard Smehlik and a conditional choice from Atlanta for a fourth-round pick in 2003 (D Mike Vannelli).
Grant Marshall provided timely scoring for the Devils (6g-2a-8pts) including a series-clinching goal in triple overtime against Tampa Bay.
March 9, 2006: Calgary traded C Jason Wiemer to New Jersey for the later of New Jersey's 4th round pick or Vancouver's 4th-round pick (previously acquired) in the 2006 Entry Draft.
March 9, 2006: New Jersey traded D Sean Brown to Vancouver for Vancouver's 4th-round pick in the 2006 Entry Draft.
March 9, 2006: NY Islanders traded D Brad Lukowich to New Jersey for New Jersey's 3rd-round pick in the 2006 Entry Draft.
Feb. 27, 2007: New Jersey traded D David Hale and its 5th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Calgary for Calgary's 3rd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.
Feb. 26, 2008: New Jersey traded RW Cam Janssen to St. Louis for D Bryce Salvador.
A key part of the Devils' current defensive corps, Salvador was re-signed by the Devils on July 1, 2008.
