MSG Plus honors Elias and Brodeur records

MSG Plus will commemorate the record-breaking careers of Devils greats Patrik Elias and Martin Brodeur with programming that revisits the remarkable games that contributed to their respective milestones reached last season. Premiering on Thursday, July 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET, the seven episode series “Patrik Elias: Rewriting Devils History” will commemorate the all-time franchise scoring record set by Patrik Elias. Each two-hour episode will be hosted by Steve Cangialosi and Ken Daneyko, a schedule for the series is included below:

July 2: Episode #1: 2000 Eastern Conference Finals—Game 7: NJ Devils at Philadelphia Flyers (5/26/00) Elias scores series winning goal

July 9: Episode #2: 2000 Stanley Cup Finals—Game 6: NJ Devils at Dallas Stars (6/10/00) Elias wins 1st Cup

July 16: Episode #3: San Jose at NJ Devils (10/18/01) Elias—3G, 2A; A-line combines for 12 points in a game

July 23: Episode #4: NY Islanders at NJ Devils (3/30/03) Elias—4-Goal Game; Devils win 6-0

July 30: Episode #5: 2006 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals—Game 1: NY Rangers at Devils (4/22/06) Elias crafts a 6-point game

August 6: Episode #6: NJ Devils at Philadelphia Flyers (12/4/08) Elias scores game tying & game winning goals; OT goal ties Jaromir Jagr & Mats Sundin for most in regular season with 15

August 13: Episode #7: Chicago Blackhawks at NJ Devils (3/17/09) Elias breaks Devils franchise all-time scoring record with 702nd point

In addition, MSG Plus will replay the eight episode series “Marty’s Milestones” which commemorates the monumental accomplishments of New Jersey Devils goaltender, Martin Brodeur, and his record-breaking 552 all-time NHL career wins.  The rerun of this series will begin on Thursday, August 20 at 8:00p.m.

“Marty’s Milestones” includes highlights, testimonials and Brodeur’s personal sentiments about what it means to have reached this significant NHL mark.  Brodeur’s picks for the top eight milestone games from his career have been shortened to two hours and wrapped with insightful comments, interviews and special memories from Brodeur and other players.  The series is hosted by Steve Cangialosi.
