In preparation for my Olympic odyssey, I’ve done a little research on Vancouver to acclimate myself with the area and maybe get an idea of what I'm in for. I found some interesting facts – the city was originally known as Granville, but then renamed on April 6, 1886, after Captain George Vancouver, a British explorer who had sailed the area in the 1790s – but thought it might be more fun to see what people already know about the city. So without further exposition, here it is:
