A few posts ago, I mentioned that every day of the Winter (or should it be Spring?) Olympics here in Vancouver is designated to a specific province or territory, then posed the question of what would encompass a Jersey Day.  Here are some reader responses:

"I see a gift basket: Springsteen, Sinatra, and Bon Jovi CDs, Box set of the Sopranos, a few "Jersey Fresh" tomatoes and ears of corn, and Atlantic City salt water taffy." – Fr. John T.

"I think if there was a NJ Day, we should give out beach badges, T-shirts with listings of all diners in the state, a listing of all exits on the Turnpike and Parkway and pork roll and cheese (sandwiches)." – Lauren K.

It was a bad idea for me to propose this thought.  Now I'm starving in the Pacific Northwest without a decent slice of pizza or breakfast sandwich in sight.  On the other hand, at least I found some good hot dogs in Vancouver.
