Vancouver: Line Capital of the World
false
There's a zipline in Robson Square.  The average wait time to ride is 5 hours.  No thanks.  You saw that line for the Olympic flame yesterday.  There's even a line to get official merchandise from Hudson's Bay Company.  I sucked it up, though, but only because I love my mom. (That should be good for an additional $50 in Christmas gifts this year.)

That video clip is actually my second trip to the Bay.  I went the day before, stood in the queue for a bit, picked up all the swag I needed and headed to the register, when I was told they only accept Visa or cash.  It would've been nice to have known that when I was standing outside for an hour at 9 am.  The cashier was sweating, but I bit my tongue, saving my Jersey venom for some other time.  It obviously wasn't her fault the employees outside were not doing their job.  (They were supposed to tell customers about the cash/credit policy while they waited.)

When I returned the following day, employees were informing the building line-up (argh! Canadian lexicon!) of the policy.  And since then, all I hear is Morgan Feeman's voice on every television telling me that Visa is the only card accepted by the Olympics.
