Team Canada has had a bit of line shuffling at the 2010 Olympics.  There's so much chatter surrounding who should flank Sidney Crosby that I'm surprised TSN hasn't launched a daily, hour-long talk show hosted by Alex Trebek and Howie Mandel yet. While it appears that situation is sorting itself out, the one consistent trio for Canadians has been the Dany Heatley, Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau combination: The Shark Line.

For Team USA, Zach Parise, Jamie Langenbrunner and Paul Stastny, have been "dominant," according to CTV analyst Ray Ferraro.  Although, Stastny has never been a Devil, his father, Peter, wore #26 for the red and green from 1989-1993, so for all intents and purposes, we'll call this threesome The Devil Line.

Shark Line (CAN) Devil Line (USA)
Goals
6 3
Assists 7 5
Points 13 8
PIM 4 0
+/- -1 8
GWG 0 2
PPG 2 2
SOG 43 29

On an unrelated note, I never quite understood why fantasy hockey gives points to the team with the most penalty minutes.  When does going shorthanded help out a hockey team in real life?

Tomorrow we see how the medal round shakes down.  I'm predicting with my heart, because the entire hockey-loving planet outside of Finland and Slovakia wants Canada vs USA II.  That rematch would be bigger than Freddy vs Jason and Batman vs Superman diced together inside a Cuisinart.  Despite that, as master of the obvious, I say Finland and Slovakia can't be overlooked.  They are in this position for a reason, as Sweden painfully found out last night.  May the best teams win!
