Gold Medal Moment
My Olympics experience is complete

The past 24 hours have been the most insane of my Olympic experience. There has been some tumult over the Canadian women's ice hockey team partying on the ice after their gold medal victory. THEY. JUST. WON. THE. GOLD. MEDAL. Let them have their moment to enjoy it. Obviously, the underage drinking is a bit of an issue, but other than that, people need to get let it go.
Much later in the night, a buddy and I bumped into the team ourselves. The vibe was that of an intimate private party of friends hanging out at a plain old hole in the wall. Very down to earth, muted and chill.
Some of the girls were playing foosball, while others, like captain Hayley Wickenheiser, were simply basking in the moment and chatting with friends. It wasn't wild by any means, but the women made my trip to Vancouver when they let me wear, kiss and bite their medals. (But only after I stuffed my American flag tie into my pocket.)
So incredibly awesome. Thanks, girls! (Tessa Bonhomme and Charline Labonté, call me! I love you both!)
