Chad Wiseman scored twice in the White Team’s 4-0 win over Red on Thursday. Mattias Tedenby and Alexander Urbom also tallied for White, which struck for four goals in the second period of their rookie scrimmage at AmeriHealth Pavilion.

Vladimir Zharkov said he was fine after blocking Matt Corrente’s hard clearing attempt with his left leg as time expired in the third period. He got some help from Corrente coming off the ice.

“It’s OK,” Zharkov said. “That’s hockey.”

Zharkov, who skated for the White squad, started each period on the left side of a line with Jacob Josefson at center and Tedenby on right wing. The Swedish prospects are expected to contend for NHL spots at training camp, which will welcome Devils veterans on Friday. Zharkov played 40 games in New Jersey last season and said the Swedes look pretty good to him.

“They’re so fast with good passes,” he said. “I like it. I think they have a chance to stay here. Why not?”

Goalies Scott Wedgewood (Red) and Dave Caruso (White) kept the game scoreless through 20 minutes. Wedgewood was the Devils’ third-round selection at this year’s Draft.

Tedenby gave White a 1-0 lead with a redirection in front at 5:13 of the second. Wiseman got the next two before Urbom's blast off of traffic with six minutes left in the frame. Maxime Clermont, the Devils’ sixth-round choice this year, was in net for all four tallies.

The scrimmage featured a third-period fight between White defenseman Harry Young and Red blueliner Dan Kelly. Young, who captained Windsor (OHL) to its second straight Memorial Cup in May, edged Kelly with a strong finish.

Goalie Shane Owen played the middle frame for White. Owen split last season between Erie (OHL) and Moncton (QMJHL), where he went 14-3-0 in 18 appearances.

Jeff Frazee (Red) and Mike McKenna (White) were perfect in the third.
