Magnan recalled from Albany (AHL)

The Devils announced Monday they have assigned defenseman Alexander Urbom to Albany (AHL) and recalled defenseman Olivier Magnan

Magnan, 24, has one assist and a plus-2 rating in three games this season with the Devils' top minor-league affiliate. He posted an AHL career high of 19 points last year with three goals, 16 assists in 71 games. New Jersey's sixth choice, 148th overall, in 2006, the native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, is looking to make his NHL debut.

Urbom, 19, was the Devils' third choice, 73rd overall, in 2009. He was a minus-3 in six games with the Devils this season.
