Emrick, Fischler earn NY Emmy noms
The New York Emmy Awards recognize television and advanced media programs that were produced for telecast in New York state and northern New Jersey, and aired between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2010.
Devils fans will recognize two of this year's selections. MSG Plus announcer Mike "Doc" Emrick was nominated for best play-by-play. He is a six-time New York-region Emmy winner. Stan Fischler received nominations for best sports reporter and best feature/segment – "Five For Fischler" on Hockey Night Live.
MSG Media, which consists of MSG Network, MSG Plus and MSG Interactive (as well as Fuse, the company’s national music network), topped 70 nominations for the second consecutive year with 71 total. In addition to MSG Network’s 60 nominations, MSG Plus received seven nominations and MSG Interactive received four.
