Saint John Sea Dogs iced in overtime
One night after an overtime win clinched their spot in the MasterCard Memorial Cup final, the Saint John Sea Dogs were bitten in the extra session.

Matt Fraser scored 3:55 into overtime as the Kootenay Ice (1-2) defeated Saint John, 5-4, Tuesday in Mississauga. Sea Dogs' winger Tomas Jurco scored his second of the night to force overtime with 15 seconds left in regulation. The shots favored Kootenay, 45-23.

It was the first setback of the tournament for Saint John (2-0-0-1), which opened with two wins. Devils defensive prospect Eric Gelinas finished a plus-2 for the Sea Dogs.

Saint John beat the host Mississauga St. Michael's Majors on Friday, and edged the Owen Sound Attack, 3-2 in overtime, on Monday.

Mississauga and Owen Sound close out the round-robin on Wednesday. Friday's semifinal will determine the Sea Dogs' opponent in Sunday's title game.
