Travis Zajac Sidelined 8-10 Weeks
New Jersey Devils center Travis Zajac underwent successful surgery earlier today in Winnipeg, Man. to repair his left Achilles tendon.  The announcement was made by Devils’ President/CEO/General Manager Lou Lamoriello.  As a result of the surgery, Zajac is expected to miss eight-ten weeks.

The injury occurred yesterday during off-ice training in Winnipeg.

Zajac is the Devils' all-time ironman, with a consecutive games played streak of 401.
