Fourth-round pick acquired for Steckel
The Devils have acquired a fourth-round pick in 2012 from Toronto in exchange for center David Steckel.

Steckel, 29, was obtained last season from Washington in the deadline day deal that sent Jason Arnott to the Capitals. The Devils also received Washington's second-round choice in 2012.

A checking center, Steckel scored one goal in 18 appearances with New Jersey. He finished the season with six goals, six assists in 75 games. The Milwaukee native was drafted in the first round, 30th overall, by the Kings in 2001. He has 24 goals, 35 assists in 309 career NHL games.
