Greene, Janssen to IR; Taormina, Urbom up

The Devils on Friday announced they have placed Andy Greene (non-displaced toe fracture) on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 6. Cam Janssen (chest contusion) was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 3
Greene missed Thursday's comeback win over Ottawa. Janssen has missed two games since getting hurt Saturday in Ottawa.
"It's a concern," Coach Peter DeBoer said Thursday. "We have some depth here, there's some good kids in Albany. We'll see how we show up [Friday] and who's got what."
The Devils have also recalled defensemen Matt Taormina and Alexander Urbom from Albany (AHL). Taormina has four goals, eight assists for 12 points and a plus-2 in 23 games. Urbom has one goal, five assists for six points and a plus-6 in 21 contests.
