Taormina named to AHL All-Stars

Devils defenseman Matt Taormina has been selected to the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic roster. The festivities will take place at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall on Jan. 29-30.
Taormina has appeared in 23 AHL games this season, producing four goals and eight assists for 12 points. He has also posted a plus-2 rating and is averaging 2.83 shots per game.
He was recalled by New Jersey on Dec. 9.
A four-year letter winner at Providence College, Taormina began his Devils career as a free agent with Lowell in 2009. He then signed with New Jersey in 2010.
