Devils' GM Lou Lamoriello said today that Travis Zajac is still experiencing soreness and will use the next couple of weeks to rest up for a return following the upcoming All-Star break.
All-Star Weekend is set for Thursday, Jan. 26 to Sunday, Jan. 29 in Ottawa. The Devils' first game after the break is a home matchup with the Rangers on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Zajac missed the first 30 games of the season following offseason Achilles surgery, then returned to notch a goal and two assists in eight games. He last played four games ago in Ottawa, recording an assist in the Devils' 3-2 overtime loss to the Senators.
The Devils' four-game road trip continues tonight in Edmonton.
