Albany Devils games return to Atlantic City
The New Jersey Devils have announced that the Albany Devils, the team’s AHL affiliate, will play four regular-season games during the 2012-2013 season at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. These games are building off the successful five minor league games played during the 2010-2011 season and the 2012 AHL All-Star game. This season’s games are giving fans the chance to see the future stars of the Devils and the NHL.
Along with New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Guadagno, a hockey mom herself, New Jersey Devils Chairman and Managing Partner Jeff Vanderbeek and Devils President/CEO/General Manager Lou Lamoriello were on hand Thursday at Boardwalk Hall to welcome back the Albany Devils to Atlantic City.
“Devils hockey games are the kind of events that are sure to spur the local economy through money spent at restaurants, shops and casino hotels,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “Events such as these make Atlantic City one of New Jersey’s premiere family entertainment destinations and support both the regional and state economies.”
Also in attendance were Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson; President, Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority Jeff Vasser; President, Eastern Division, Caesars Entertainment, Inc., Don Marrandino; Devils alumni Ken Daneyko, Jim Dowd, Bruce Driver and Grant Marshall; and Devils radio play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin.
The dates of the Albany games in Atlantic City are: Sunday, Nov. 25 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton; Sunday, Jan. 13 vs. Bridgeport; Sunday, Jan. 20 vs. Adirondack; and Sunday, Feb. 24 vs. Hershey. All start times are 4 p.m.
