New Jersey Devils sign on as exclusive sponsors of NJSIAA\'s 2013-2015 Ice Hockey Championship tournaments
The New Jersey Devils will be the exclusive sponsor for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association) ice hockey championship tournaments. Games for all three years are currently scheduled to be played on the Devils\' home ice, the Prudential Center Arena in Newark.

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (December 17, 2012) -- The New Jersey Devils will be the exclusive sponsor for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association) ice hockey championship tournaments. Games for all three years are currently scheduled to be played on the Devils' home ice, the Prudential Center Arena in Newark.

The New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center have played host to the NJSIAA high school ice hockey championships since the building opened in 2007. NewJerseyDevils.com is also the home to New Jersey Youth Hockey Central where scores, stats, and standings for more than 300 high school and youth hockey teams and their 6,000 players are featured on the team’s website

Under agreement with the NJSIAA, the Devils will manage all tournament ticket sales at the arena, as well as sales of luxury suites and all concessions. Funds collected via these sales will be retained by the Devils.

"This agreement with the Devils is exciting for our association, and we know it will be exciting for our student athletes," said Steven J. Timko, NJSIAA executive director. "We'll be working with a world-class professional sports franchise to stage our annual state championship ice hockey event, and the students on participating high school teams will be skating on the same rink that's used regularly by the Devils and their National Hockey League opponents."

Devils Chairman and Managing Partner Jeff Vanderbeek said: "The Devils are committed to building partnerships throughout the community and among our fans, so partnering with the NJSIAA is absolutely a perfect fit for us. In the New Jersey market, our franchise represents the finest sport in the world, and bringing opportunities to high school players is something we're proud and delighted to do."

The specific schedule for the 2013 tournament will be determined before the end of this December. The event will also feature a championship luncheon, hosted by the Devils, for the final eight teams competing in the tourney.

"I'm really looking forward to watching all the young hockey players skating out on to that ice, then gazing up at the trio of Stanley Cup banners hanging from the rafters," said Lou Lamoriello, Devils CEO, president, and general manager. "I'm sure that will send chills down a few spines."

General admission tickets for 2013 will sell for $10, while student and senior ticket prices will be $3.
