HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS OF THE MONTH NAMED
Five Seniors, One Junior & One Sophomore Highlight December’s Selections
Newark, NJ – The New Jersey Devils High School Player of the Month Program continues this season. Players named for December 2012 are: senior forward Alex Hagerty (Delbarton School, Gordon Conference); senior goaltender Justin Larkin (Ramsey, Big North Conference); senior defenseman Robert Bolinder (Randolph, Morris County); junior forward Phil Pikus (Millburn, New Jersey Ice Hockey League); senior forward Kyle Leddy (Ridge, Skyland Conference); sophomore forward Connor Todaro (Notre Dame, Colonial Valley Conference); and senior defenseman Tom Panico (Wall Township, Shore Conference).
Each month, December through February, seven student-athletes from throughout the state are selected as recipients of the award. Public A, Public B and Non-Public All-Tournament Teams will be selected in March and an overall High School Player of the Year will be chosen at the conclusion of the season.
Winners are based on nominations received from members of the media who cover the state’s scholastic hockey. Award winners and their guests receive tickets to a Devils' game, a plaque presented by a Devils' player, and dinner compliments of the Devils. This marks the 21st season that the Devils are honoring high school student-athletes.
