Henrique, Larsson back tonight vs. Islanders
The two Adams will make their season debuts tonight at Prudential Center.
Adam Henrique will return to the lineup when the Devils host the Islanders at 7 p.m. He'll center the fourth line of Matt Anderson and Krys Barch. The plan is to ease the 2012 Calder Trophy finalist back into the lineup.
Henrique has been sidelined since Nov. 29 surgery to repair a left thumb injury he suffered while playing in Albany (AHL). He posted 16 goals and 35 assists in 74 games last season with New Jersey, and had five goals, three assists in 16 games this season with Albany.
Adam Larsson will play his first game of 2012-13 in place of Mark Fayne (upper body). Larsson, the Devils' first-round pick in 2011, replaces Fayne on his pairing with Andy Greene. Larsson, who had been a healthy scratch, collected four goals and 15 assists in 33 games with Albany this season.
In another new look, Jacob Josefson is on the left side of the top line with Travis Zajac and Ilya Kovalchuk. For the past two games, that spot had belonged to Stefan Matteau. The 2012 first-round pick has already played in five games and a decision has yet to be made on whether he will remain with the Devils and use up the first year of his entry-level deal, or return to his junior club in Blainville-Boisbriand (QMJHL).
Martin Brodeur will start in goal.
