Carter activated off injured reserve

The Devils on Friday activated Ryan Carter off injured reserve and assigned Tim Sestito to Albany (AHL).

Carter (upper body) has missed the last four games, but traveled with the team on its current three-game road trip. The left winger has two goals and three assists in 16 games.

Sestito made his season debut in Thursday's loss to Winnipeg and saw 10 shifts for 5:18 of ice time.

The Devils visit Buffalo for a 3 p.m. start on Saturday and conclude their trip Monday in Toronto. New Jersey opens a two-game homestand Tuesday against Tampa Bay.
