Scott Wedgewood is making the most of his chance in the American Hockey League.

Wedgewood made 34 saves in Albany's (AHL) 3-2 shootout victory over Adirondack on Sunday, becoming the first goaltender in franchise history to win his first two starts.

Wedgewood was reassigned to Albany from Trenton (ECHL) on March 5 and made his AHL debut on Saturday with 23 saves in a 4-1 win over Springfield.

The 20-year-old Etobicoke, Ontario, native was a third-round selection at the 2010 Draft.

Meanwhile, Reid Boucher hasn't let up since making history.

The Sarnia Sting (OHL) left wing, who has already surpassed Steven Stamkos' team single-season record for goals, added two more on Sunday. He raised his league-leading total to 62 in 65 games, the most by an OHLer since John Tavares collected 72 in 2006-07.

Boucher's currently riding a four-game point streak (5g-4a) for the Sting, who close out the regular season with games Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

C Artur Gavrus on Monday was named Owen Sound's (OHL) Attacker of the Week. Gavrus enjoyed a five-point week, including his first hat trick of the season, and extended his season-high point streak to four games (5g-3a). Gavrus has five goals and six assists for 11 points in 18 games with the Attack.

LW Ben Johnson notched his 20th goal of the season for Windsor (OHL) last Thursday, extending his point streak to four games (2g-3a).

LW Blake Pietila closed out the regular season with one assist in Michigan Tech's (WCHA) weekend set with Colorado College, finishing the 2012-13 campaign with 14 goals and nine assists in 32 games. Next up for the Huskies is a best-of-three playoff series with North Dakota that opens Friday.

LW Blake Coleman and the CCHA regular-season champion Miami RedHawks begin the second round of the playoffs Friday against Michigan State. Coleman posted eight goals and eight assists in 36 regular-season games.

D Jon Merrill scored Friday for Michigan (CCHA), who ousted Northern Michigan in two games to advance to the quarterfinals against Western Michigan. Merrill, who was injured to start the season, finished the year with two goals and six assists in 17 games.

F Derek Rodwell posted one goal and one assist in 29 regular-season games with North Dakota (WCHA). UND opens the playoffs against Michigan Tech on Friday.

D Joe Faust tallied one goal in 36 games this season with Wisconsin (WCHA). The Badgers' first-round matchup with Minnesota Duluth gets under way on Friday.
