With the 2013 NHL Draft set for Sunday at Prudential Center, take a look back at the Devils' 2012 draft class:

Stefan Matteau, LW - 1st round/29th overall

Made his NHL debut on Jan. 19 at NY Islanders, becoming the eighth youngest player in franchise history (18 years, 331 days). … Recorded his first NHL goal/point on Feb. 9 vs. Pittsburgh. … Posted his first NHL assist on Feb. 10 at Pittsburgh. … Scored 18 goals (7 PPG) and 10 assists in 35 games with Blainville-Boisbriand (QMJHL). … Added three goals and six assists in 11 playoff games with the Armada. … Invited to attend U.S. National Junior Team evaluation camp at Lake Placid, Aug. 3-10.

Damon Severson, D - 2nd round/60th overall

Posted 10 goals, 42 assists in 71 games with Kelowna to finish sixth in points among WHL defensemen. … Plus-43 was tied for 10th overall. … Ranked second on the Rockets with 10 points (1g, 9a) in 11 postseason games. … Named Rockets' top defenseman at team awards ceremony. … Signed to an entry-level contract on Sept. 6. Named to roster for Canada's National Junior Team summer development camp.

Ben Johnson, LW - 3rd round/90th overall

Scored 20 goals and 17 assists in 64 games with Windsor (OHL). … Season-high six-game point streak from Dec. 29-Jan. 13 included a hat trick at Sarnia on Jan. 4.

Ben Thomson, LW - 4th round/96th overall

Registered 15 goals and 17 assists in 67 games with Kitchener. … Ranked eighth in OHL with 119 PIM. … Added one goal and two assists in 10 playoff games.

Graham Black, C - 5th round/135th overall

Finished third on Swift Current (WHL) with 50 points (24g, 26a) in 68 games. … Posted four three-point games (3a, Nov. 27 vs. Brandon; 1g-2a, Feb. 12 at Saskatoon; 2g-1a, Feb. 24 vs. Brandon; 1g-2a, March 5 vs. Prince Albert). … Scored one goal and added three assists in five playoff games.

Alexander Kerfoot, C – 5th round/150th overall

Limited to 16 games due to injury. … Notched eight goals and 11 assists with Coquitlam (BCHL). … Committed to Harvard (ECAC) for 2013-14.

Artur Gavrus, C - 6th round/180th overall

Collected eight goals and six assists in 21 games with Owen Sound (OHL) after starting the season with Neman Grodno (Bel.). … Six-game point streak from March 2-15 included hat trick vs. Erie on March 8 and two-goal games vs. Mississauga on March 2 and at Sarnia on March 15. … Scored three goals and five assists in 12 playoff appearances. … Made three appearances with Belarus in 2013 IIHF World Championship.
