With the preliminary round in Sochi complete, the Olympic tournament continues Tuesday with four qualification playoff games.

The Czech Republic, featuring Devils' Olympians Jaromir Jagr, Patrik Elias and Marek Zidlicky, will face Slovakia. Devils winger Damien Brunner and Switzerland will take on Latvia.

The other matchups will see Russia against Norway and Slovenia versus Austria.

The tournament's top finishers – Sweden, the United States, Canada, and Finland – all received byes and return to action in Wednesday's quarterfinals. The U.S. plays the winner of Czech Republic-Slovakia, while Canada will duel the winner of Switzerland-Latvia.

The Czechs finished seventh in preliminary round play after going 1-2. Their 4-2 victory over Latvia on Friday was bookended by losses to Sweden, 4-2, on Wednesday and Switzerland, 1-0, on Saturday.

Zidlicky led the Czechs with three points in three games (2g-1a), giving him 13 points (6g-7a) in 15 career Olympic contests. He recorded seven shots and was +1.

Jagr, who turned 42 on Saturday, collected two goals in three games to match Zidlicky for the team lead and now has 22 points (9g-13a) in 26 Olympic appearances. His eight shots represented the second highest total for the Czechs.

Elias, not in the lineup Saturday, posted one assist in two games, improving his career Olympic totals to seven points (3g-4a) in 12 contests. He contributed three shots and was +2.

The Swiss played three 1-0 games, winning two to go 2-1 and finish sixth.

Brunner, making his Olympic debut, recorded a game-high five shots in Switzerland's opening victory over Latvia, but did not register a point in the round.
