| I've been a Devils fan since 1993. My first game was against the Minnesota North Stars in January of 1993, a Devils 5-1 win. I've been going to games every year since 1994-95 and I love it. I collect a lot of Devils items from playoff towels, extensive program and video collection as well as ticket stubs and a pair of tickets from the 2004-05 lockout. One of my happiest days was finding out the Devils were coming to my hometown of Newark, and this building has been great to the fans and the people of Newark. Rock Your Red and Don't Stop Believing!! LETS GO DEVILS!!!! 1992-93: First game, a Devils 5-1 over the North Stars. 1994-95: Devils defeat Ottawa 4-2, starting of myself becoming a fanatic. 1995-96: Corey Schwab soundly defeats Tommy Soderstrom. 1996-97: Devils defeat Boston to take over the Division lead for good. 1997-98: Devils stave off elimination with Doug Gilmour's game-winning goal against Ottawa. 1998-99: Bobby Holik's OT game winner against the Flyers on the last game of the regular season. 1999-2000: Jason Arnott's OT game winner against the Panthers on the last game of the regular season and attending the parking lot to celebrate the 2000 Stanley Cup Champions. 2000-01: Down 3-1, the Devils score twice on a 5-3 power play to beat the Blackhawks 4-3. 2001-02: Scott Stevens' first goal of the season propels the Devils to a win against Montreal on Fan Appreciation Night. 2002-03: Being present for the Devils beating Boston, Tampa in triple-OT, and going to Games 2 and 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals and going to the championship celebration for the 2003 Stanley Cup Champions. 2003-04: Seeing the 2002-03 Stanley Cup banner being raised to the Meadowlands rafters. 2005-06: Witnessing the retirements of Scott Stevens and Ken Daneyko's jerseys. 2006-07: The Devils coming back from 6-3 to defeating the Leafs 7-6 in a shootout in the final home opener at CAA and attending the final regular season and playoff ever at the Meadowlands. 2007-08: The Devils first game, first-ever win and first win against the Rangers at the Rock!!! |
