The Devils defeated the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, 3-0, in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals to capture their third title in nine years. The team established an NHL record with their 12th postseason win on home ice.

Over 5,000 fans attended the 2009 Devils Draft Party to  watch live opening-round coverage of the 2009 Entry Draft. While waiting for the Devils draft pick, fans had the opportunity to buy Devils merchandise and used equipment, play games, skate on the AmeriHealth Pavilion ice, and much more.
