In second season as head coach of ECHL’s Trenton franchise; named to current post May 8, 2006…Returned to New Jersey’s capital city after spending one year as an assistant to former Titans’ Coach Mike Haviland with Norfolk (AHL); Admirals finished campaign with impressive 43-29-4-4=94pt mark…A right wing, pro playing career spanned 12 seasons, and included six teams/two leagues in North America…Also saw action in two games with BISL’s Cardiff Devils in 2000-01…Captained Titans to 2005 Kelly Cup Championship in final season as a player… Participated in 1995 and 2003 ECHL All-Star Games; served North team as captain in 2003… Totaled 221 goals and 329 assists for 550 points and 979 penalty minutes in 516 career regular season ECHL games with Hampton Roads, Trenton and Roanoke…Served Express as player/assistant coach while compiling career-high 83 points in 2001-02…Made pro debut with Cornwall (AHL) in 1993-94…Buffalo’s tenth choice, 227th overall in 1992 Entry Draft; did not see any action in NHL…Helped lead Sault Ste. Marie to back-toback OHL Championships in 1991 and 1992; captained Greyhounds to 1993 Memorial Cup Championship…Born March 20, 1972, in Simcoe, Ont…Rick and his wife, Debbie, have three children: Dylan, Kelly and Ryan.
